About me

Hi! My name is Ekaterina, but you can call me Katia — I feel it creates a calmer and more trusting atmosphere during a shoot.

I am a photographer with a degree in fine arts. I came into photography out of a passion for beauty and a strong desire to express my own vision.
I work in fashion and beauty photography. My artistic education at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry became a solid foundation for my career: I rely on the principles of composition, the relationship between objects in space, the balance of color and form, the play of light and shadow, and an understanding of how a visual image influences perception.
I have been working in photography for many years. I went through a long path of exploration and learning before gradually finding my way into fashion photography. A particularly important stage in my professional growth was studying with well-known fashion photographers in Russia. That was when I developed a strong love for close-ups and beauty portraits, and began to understand more deeply the language of fashion photography as well as the work with styling and visual concepts.
I closely follow fashion and makeup trends in order to better understand this field and distinguish current ideas from outdated ones. This also helps me better understand the visions brought by stylists and makeup artists.
For me, it is not just about creating a beautiful image, but about understanding a brand’s DNA: its values, visual direction, target audience, and the image or conceptual idea that will best reflect the character of the product. In my work, I use stylistic tools that help the brand speak to its audience in a shared visual language.
I pay close attention to details: I notice how clothing sits in the frame, how it interacts with the body, light, and movement, and if needed, I make adjustments so the image looks harmonious, elegant, and commercially effective.
I have experience working with model agencies and creating creative shoots, as well as full portfolios for models in different genres — not only model tests, but also fashion and editorial projects. This allowed me to become more deeply involved in the fashion industry and better understand its visual demands.
Over time, I began bringing professional stylists and makeup artists with experience in the fashion industry and with brands into my projects, carefully selecting each collaborator. This helped me raise the quality of my portfolio and create stronger shoots.

I enjoy team work, where everyone involved works in synergy toward one shared visual result. I respect each team member’s opinion and creative vision, and I believe the best shoots are created in an atmosphere of dialogue, trust, and a common goal.

For me, this is more than a job — it is an art that brings creative people together through collaboration. And it is a true pleasure to be part of that larger creative process.
